Sample 7 (Combined Med/Peds example)
Dear Dr. (Program director or coordinator, Chairman, Chief resident or other interviewers):
I wanted to formally thank you for interviewing me on January 24, xxxx. It was a pleasure. meeting and talking with you and I appreciated your perspective on the Combined Program_ It was also interesting hearing about the Infectious Diseases Department at Children's and the pediatric HIV population you serve_ These are particular interests of mine.
I had an enjoyable and informative two days in Boston last weekend and was quite impressed with the Combined Program. The Boston Medical Center and Children's Hospital appear to complement. each other well and the combination offers a resident many benefits and opportunities. The residents I met were consistently satisfied and a sense of camaraderie and support was evident_ For these reasons and more, the Combined Program stands out_ I am sure I would be a good fit for the program and it would be a privilege to learn and care for children at both centers. I hope you will seriously consider me for a residency position.
Sincerely,
Your Name
AAMC ID
