IMGs from Afghanistan for USMLE and Residency

Many Afghan medical graduates came to the US for residency after passing USMLE and getting ECFMG certified. Some of them went back but the majority graduated already and working under J1 visa waiver, H1b visa or already got their green card or citizenship. Still a lot of them apply yearly and most of them come from these medical schools in Afghanistan:

Alberoni University Faculty of Medicine
Aryana University Faculty of Medicine
Balkh University Faculty of Medicine
Bayazid Roshan University of Nangarhar Faculty of Medicine
Cheragh Medical Institute
Ghalib University Medical Science Faculty
Herat University Faculty of Medicine
Kabul Medical University Faculty of Curative Medicine
Kandahar University Faculty of Medicine
Paktia University Faculty of Medicine
Rokhan Institute of Higher Education Faculty of Medicine
Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan University Faculty of Medicine
Spinghar Institute of Higher Education.

Many of them had done observerships to increase their chances to get interviews. This what any IMG would do to get some experience in the US to support his application.

Other people from Afghanistan will do medical school in the Caribbean region then go through the USMLEs as they get more advantage of the Clinical rotations offered for them in the US through their medical schools affiliations.

Doctors from Afghanistan and other countries of the world will match in these programs: http://www.imgguide.com/ . To get more interviews do apply to the same programs mentioned in these lists where previous FMGs already matched in different specialties.
